Main tasks to be carried on within the project

In terms of development ATOS will be responsible for the features necessary to deal with complex event processing at the UNCAP middleware level and for deployment, integration and testing of the platform within the cloud services of ATOS, before the technology is deployed at the pilot sites. ATOS will be leader of WP4 “impact analysis”. In particular they will be in charge of the Analysis of improved efficiency within the health and care systems (T.4.1), of the Analysis of improved quality of life of involved users and carers (T.4.2) and of the Pilots’ RoI and SRoI analysis (T.4.4). In addition they will be involved in WP5 to define new procurement models (T.5.2) based on new service models allowed by UNCAP. Further contribution to dissemination and openness activities in the context of WP6 is also planned.

How the profile matches with the tasks assigned and previous experience in relevant projects

For the UNCAP project Atos Research and Innovation will put to work resources bringing deep expertise in service engineering and Cloud computing domains backed up by experience in projects such as Secse, SOA4ALL, COIN, Optimis, Cloud4SOA, SmartLM, iCargo as well as national research projects. In addition, the Smart Objects Lab will contribute with sound knowledge and extensive experience on Internet of Thinks related technologies, such as Cognitive technologies and on-the-fly Information Stream Processing technologies acquired during involvement on related projects like FI‐WARE; OUTSMART; SCOVIS; iCore; eDIANA; ENCOURAGE; VITAL, RERUM, and COSMOS.
